Thanks to Juliann from Chasing Stories for the inspiration for this post.

For this “Three on Thursday” I want to share three of my discoveries this week:

1. Winter. It was -11 here yesterday. That is super cold! (Fun fact: the mourning doves have taken to perching on our railing to stay out of the wind. The poor birds can’t get any puffier! You can kind of see them in the photo). However, strangely enough, I don’t feel cold the way I used to before my sons were born. A down vest, wool mittens and a hat kept me perfectly warm this week. Is that bizarre or what?!

2. Sleeping babies. I love spending my days with my boys, but this week the tide is turning and my youngest is no longer needing me all evening (and night). It turns out that you can accomplish much when both children go to bed after dinner. I was beginning to forget what it felt like to have an evening to myself to create!

3. Knitting accessories. Friends, I can’t wait to share my discoveries in this category with you in tomorrow’s video podcast!! Let’s just say, knitting accessories are revolutionizing my crafting life and I cannot believe I haven’t known about these items before.

Welcome to Three on Thursday! Do your mourning doves nest on at your home so that you have springtime babies? That pic of the the “birds on the rail” looks like it could have endless caption possibilities. 🙂 Yay for the new “found time” to create while babes are sleeping!

Hi Amy! Thanks for the welcome! We haven’t had the mourning doves at our house before aside from stopping by to eat in the yard, so I’ll be on the lookout for nests and springtime babies 🙂
