Welcome to the first post of #makersmadeitmonday! Today I’m super excited to share with you my latest finished project – a onesie quilt commissioned by a friend at church. She provided the onesies that she wanted preserved, and I did the rest!
What I loved about this project: I liked cutting the onesie pieces out as big as possible and then whittling them down to fit together like a puzzle. It was an organic process that felt creative and relaxed.
What I’d do differently next time: The binding gave me a bit of a headache this time around. I still have not perfected the art of machine sewing binding on so that it is even all the way around on the wrong side. I either need to master this skill soon or go back to hand stitching everything!
