All right friends! I’m happy to report today that last week I officially finished four baby gifts. If you’ve ever started a project and wondered if it was worth finishing it because too much time has passed, I’m here to tell you that it is worth it! My oldest baby recipient just turned one…and while this is super late, I’m glad now to have it to send to her.
What I loved: These baby blankets were so much fun to shop for. I loved that I got to buy fabric AND books – a definite win in my world! They make such sweet gifts for people we love.
What I learned: I learned how to make mitered corners with these quilts. The instructions sounded more complicated than it really was. The test will be if I remember how to do it next time I try these!
What I’d do differently next time: Not try to start when I’m pregnant! I made a few notes in the pattern to clarify things I didn’t understand well the first time around, such as how wide I cut the border strips. I think I might like to make a few of these to have on hand and at the ready when new babies come on the scene.
