Can you believe that we are into the fall season already? We’ve finally started to have some fall weather here in Chicago, and now I’m itching to go apple picking and head to the pumpkin patch.
One of the things I’ve always admired when I walk through our neighborhood are the super cute decorations people use around their front door. Wreaths, signs, letters…they all do the same thing. They make me feel welcome. Even if I don’t know them!
So when I was visiting one of my best friends in Iowa and she started showing me pictures of gorgeous wreaths she had made in the past year, I didn’t hesitate a moment before begging her to take me to the nearest craft store and show me how to do this fabulous thing!
Isn’t it lovely?
It was so fun to make. AND it gave us an excuse to pull out an old favorite, the 1958 musical version of Lil’ Abner. Seriously, if you haven’t seen this one, it will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you wonder how films like this ever got made in the first place. But I’m ever so glad that it was!
If you like the looks of this wreath, let me know in the comments section as I am considering selling it in my Etsy shop (coming soon!).
